History

Platicas (forums) are ‘working’ policy events focused on human capital improvement issues, strategies, and progress in increasing Latino influence on policymaking that impacts. Further, to measure their effects across bienestar (well-being) improvement indicators. The Symposium forums bring together statewide voices who have a fundamental interest in assuring that public policies have a positive social and economic mobility impact on our community.

We recommend reviewing the Genesis Policy Blueprint from 2017 as a baseline review on the bienestar status of Texas  Latinos, and cross-section of policy prorities that continue to elude equitable implementation.
