Latino students cannot and will not be reduced to a statistic of representation in assessments of HSI status. Servingness implies an institutional obligation to actively construct the conditions of belonging, persistence, existence, and future possibility. That is what servingness demands. That is what HSI designation promises, and what UT Austin has yet to deliver.
